HemoCue participates in Sweden’s National Day at World Expo in Osaka

Yesterday, HemoCue took part in Sweden’s National Day at the World Expo in Osaka, led by His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden and the Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade, Mr. Benjamin Dousa.

Expo 2025 is a remarkable platform that celebrates the potential, ambition, and contributions of nations from around the world in building a better future. The event brings together key pillars for a thriving society—including health and well-being, sustainable living, learning and play, peace, human dignity, biodiversity, and mobility—under the unifying theme of “Designing Future Society for Our Lives.”

For HemoCue, a global innovator and pioneer in point-of-care testing, participating in Expo 2025 is a unique opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to health and sustainability on a global stage.

“HemoCue has always aimed to do good, do what is right, and continuously advance care for all. As a mid-sized Swedish company with a global impact, it’s good for us to join this important delegation and will continue to participate in global as well as local dialogues while being here and going forward,” said Lena Wahlhed, Director Alliance Development at HemoCue.

“We’re proud to be here not only to showcase our abilities in our solutions, but to highlight the importance of sustainable partnerships that drive real change. Health and well-being is close to our hearts, and are vital building blocks of a better society,” added Wahlhed.

HemoCue is honored to represent Sweden at Expo 2025 in the presence of global and national leaders, together with our Japanese partner Amco Inc.

“Participating in Expo 2025—alongside nations, organizations, and partners working toward a better future—is a powerful reminder that at the heart of every innovation are the people we serve. This forward-looking event strengthens our journey of delivering solutions that truly advance care,” said Kasper Schweitz, President of HemoCue.

Expo 2025 takes place until October 13, 2025. Read more about the event here: https://www.expo2025.or.jp/en/
