Perfusion

We enable
Perfusion

Perfusion programs operate in highly controlled environments where reliable assessment of hemolysis is essential to supporting quality standards and confidence in reinfused blood products. However, current approaches to hemolysis assessment often rely on indirect indicators, subjective interpretation, or delayed laboratory workflows, limiting timely and consistent information about blood quality.

HemoCue’s plasma free hemoglobin testing provides fast, in-house hemolysis assessments. As a direct marker of hemolysis, plasma-free hemoglobin offers clearer insight than indirect measures such as lactate dehydrogenase (LDH). The HemoCue® Plasma/Low Hb System is FDA-cleared and delivers results faster than send-out tests, helping streamline implementation and reduce turnaround time.
