The International Society of Blood Transfusion (ISBT) is the global knowledge network for transfusion medicine. Founded in 1935, ISBT brings together professionals from over 100 countries to share expertise, advance research, and promote best practices across the entire transfusion chain, with the common vision of a world of safe and sufficient blood.

In 2026, ISBT will convene its 39th International Congress in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The congress will provide a global platform for learning, dialogue, and collaboration, with a scientific programme focusing on current challenges and innovations in transfusion science, blood safety, patient blood management, regenerative medicine, and emerging technologies shaping the future of transfusion medicine.

 

HemoCue focus at this ISBT congress

As ISBT is a blood transfusion congress we will focus on solutions within our hematology portfolio used for accurate pre-donation screening of donors, hemolysis assessment of stored blood, and infection screening.
