Questions

The HemoCue® WBC System fits into a variety of clinical applications and even remote field clinics. A white blood cell count gives an immediate clinical puzzle piece that can bring you closer to a conclusive answer and treatment in a number of situations, including unspecified symptoms such as fever or fatigue.

There are two different controls available: the HemoCue® WBC Control and HC WBC DIFF Control, which should be used with HemoCue® WBC System and HemoCue® WBC DIFF System, respectively. These controls are manufactured by R&D Systems, Inc and distributed outside the US by EuroCell Diagnostics.

The HemoCue® WBC System can be used with the HemoCue® WBC Microcuvettes only.

Yes, HemoCue® WBC System can be operated with either power adapter or 6 type AA alkaline batteries. When battery operated, actual performance will vary based on settings, environmental conditions, type of batteries and other factors. Estimated number of measurements using batteries is 300 measurements.
